Porto
di Mare
Paseo del Pescador 56
(755) 554-5902
Located right on Fisherman's walk, this restaurant is a work of art in
and of itself, thanks to artist and proprietor Antonio Firmani. The
building was restored according to ancient Zihatanejo structures and
with Firmani's touch boasts an incredible ambience you won't find just
anywhere. Serving delicious Italian and Mexican cuisine, using the
finest ingredients and offering great presentation of the food, this is
a great spot for dinner.
Coconut's
Agustín Ramírez 1
(755) 554-2518
Coconut's is indeed one of the restaurants in Zihuatanejo with a shining
reputation—and well-deservedly so. Housed in an ancient building that is
the oldest in the city, the restaurant itself is set in a garden that
was once where the coconuts were weighed during the height of the
industry in the late 1800s. The cuisine is mostly seafood, featuring
specials of the freshest finds that change daily, and the reputation of
the Bananas Flambée preceeds it.
Kau-Kan
Camino a Playa la Ropa, Playa Madera
(755) 554-8446
Located on Playa Madera, Kau-Kan is fish, fish and more fish. Chef
Ricardo Rodriguez prepares his seafood with extreme attention to detail,
and you can't go wrong with most options on the menu. The restaurant
offers an open setting with an unparalleled view of the bay. Be sure to
try the specials, which change daily.
La Gaviota
Calle Ejido, Playa La Ropa
(755) 554-3816
Many say this is the "best seafood restaurant" in Zihuatanejo. It offers
an incredible selection of fresh fish and shellfish. Some
recommendations are the Queen mussel of Zihuatanejo, fish strips, and
the lobster tacos. Other specialties include fresh clams, shrimp-filled
chile rellenos, and spicy shrimp diablo.
Chez Paul's Restaurant and
Zihua San Sushi Bar
Avenida Benito Juarez #23
(755) 554-6528
This is a local favorite, serving delicious seafood, meats, wild game
specials and now sushi. Located in downtown Zihuatanejo, this restaurant
is owned by Swiss Chef Paul Karrer, who boasts a long history in
Zihuatanejo. His signature specialties have earned him a longstanding
reputation here, and visitors are sure to agree that his plates are
exceptional. The artichoke appetizer comes highly recommended.
La Madera Restaurant
Playa Madera, on the beach behind Hotel Palacios
(755) 554-0860
This beachside French restaurant gets rave reviews from all its patrons.
Located right on Playa Madera, La Madera serves excellent French cuisine
by chef and host Matias Habrioux. Enjoy a breakfast of simple croissants
or eggs benedict, or dinner specialties like escargot, marinated
abalone, octopus or tuna steak. The sauces created by this fantastic
chef are also one-of-a-kind.

Clinging to the edge of
a cliff overlooking the sea, this elegant restaurant offers the most
spectacular sea and sunset views in Ixtapa. The cuisine is delicious and
classically rich. We recommend the Filet Villa de la Selva, which is red
snapper topped with shrimp and hollandaise sauce.
Mamma Norma and Deborah
The menu features a
large selection of dishes, ranging from basic meat & potatoes to
vegetarian fare and including many Mexican and seafood specialties as
well as delicious pastas prepared with their homemade sauces. If you are
going fishing we provide the service of cooking your catch.
El

Dine in a large
courtyard in a colonial Mexican atmosphere at this restaurant offering
traditional dishes of the State of Guerrero, including pozole on
Thursdays.
Kau-Kan

Madera, this hidden jewel of a restaurant combines the romantic
surroundings of Zihuatanejo's bay with the outstanding talents of one of
Mexico's finest chefs. Dine upstairs under the open sky for the romantic
