The city of Zihuatanejo is famous for the amount of malls you can find all over the city. During your visit to this fantastic tourist destination you will find many places to enjoy a nice stroll with your family while looking for the perfect souvenir to take home with you.

In Zihuatanejo you will find from the most fashionable stores to the most traditional stands. At the very heart of the historic center, on the side of the City Hall, you will find a mall in which the only Jewelry Center of the region is located, as well as the Shoe Center with producers from Leon and Guadalajara. Other malls such as: Plaza San Marcos, Villasuncion, Plaza Kristal, and Plaza Universidad are popular thanks to the modern shops they have, which always are up to day when it comes to fashion.

El Parián Mall

Symbol and pride of Zihuatanejo, El Parian was built in 1829, reconstructed in 1952, and its last remodeling was made in 1985. This place still keeps its exterior archs but it has an excellent modern touch. This mall has five levels where you can find the best shops, internet cafes, importers, drugstores, furniture stores, optician's shops, cafes, ice-cream parlor, stationary stores, printing works, travel agency and many other services.

Expo Plaza Mall

This mall was inaugurated as a part of the project of improvement of the fairground perimeter. It features a great variety of stands, such as: stationary stores, handicraft stores, boutiques, shoe stores, cafes, videogame stores, a food court, several movie theater screens and a multiple-use hall for any kind of event.

Galerías Mall

This mall is located in the north zone of the city; it features 10 movie theater screens where you and your family will surely find fun for everyone. Among its stores you will find: courier services, food court, the best boutiques, shoe stores, gift shops, an optician's shop, toy stores, a florist's shop, perfume stores, a sports store, department stores and a supermarket.

"Vestir" Mall

This mall was built in 1977 as a result of the interests of several businessmen of the state, as a support and strengthening of the textile and dressmaking industries. Nowadays it features a wide variety of stands where you can find embroidery, knit fabrics, linens and clothing for the whole family. "Vestir" Mall (clothing mall) also features cafes, silver stores and gift shops.

Nieto Street

This is one of the most traditional streets of Zihuatanejo . It is located in the historic center of the city; it is daily visited by shoppers who come from many different parts of the country, who come looking for the most representative articles of the state. Embroidery, knit fabrics and more; fashion clothing, linen, tablecloths, quilts and many other fabrics, are found at this street.

Juarez & Union Streets

Also in the historic center of the city, you will find these two streets where a wide variety of stands with clothing for the whole family are located. While strolling along these two streets, your imagination will take you into a journey to the past and tell you stories about the traditions of Zihuatanejo. Here you will also find the traditional Teran Market, and very close from there, the Juarez Market.
